For hundreds of years, people have looked in awe at a pipe organ and they think these grand instruments play themselves. For 60 years, people have looked in wonder at synthesizers and they think the electronics play themselves. In both cases, Matthew Luca is a person who make these instruments sing and shake the Earth with their dynamic sonic power.

Matthew thinks differently and he plays differently. He came from a home where his father plays in a popular local rock band and he studied organ since he was a teenager. This dichotomy has fused musical ideas and sounds together in a new way where Matthew’s musical gifts are now being unleashed on the world. After graduating from the Pre-College division of The Juilliard School, Matthew attended the College of the Holy Cross as the Organ Scholar for the Class of 2022. He is currently enrolled at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University for a master’s degree in Organ Performance and Sacred Music.

Stay tuned, the world is about to hear a new sound coming from the hands, the mind and heart of Matthew Luca.
